An essential part of a "Bones and Raw Food Diet", tripe contains the partially digested grains and grasses that a cow has eaten. As carnivores, dogs and cats cannot convert vegetation into nutrients within their own stomach. However, when they eat tripe, they receive these nutrients that have been already processed naturally by the cow's stomach system. Also present within the stomach lining are natural gastric juices, amino acids and other digestive enzymes not found in other pet food. These gastric juices and enzymes aid pets in digestion to efficiently utilize food for maximum nutrition. Amino acids are necessary for muscular development and other gastric juices are excellent cleaners for teeth.
Customer Review: wow
The Tripett arrived today. When I gave it to my pup (5 month old yellow Lab) she went after it like she hadn't eaten in a year. She licked the dish clean and then when I picked it up, licked the floor where it had been just in case she missed a speck (she hadn't though.) She looked up at me completely grateful and begging for more. She won't leave the kitchen. She's been down there for two hours now lying beside her bowl waiting for more. (no exaggeration.) Get it. Your dog will LOOOOVE you. (But find a way to pay for it first because they will want it regularly and it is costly.) I knew tripe made sense biologically, but I had no idea how much she would appreciate it.
Customer Review: My dog loves this
I bought a can of this from another website and my dog LOVES it! Any time it was meal time he followed me around as I opened the can and spooned it out, also is great stuffed into a Kong when you leave the dog home alone.
