Default No More Dead Dogs

Nobody understands Wallace Wallace. This reluctant school football hero has been suspended from the team for writing an unfavorable book report of Old Shep, My Pal. But Wallace won't tell a lie-he hated every minute of the book! Why does the dog in every classic novel have to croak at the end? After refusing to do a rewrite, his English teacher, who happens to be directing the school play Old Shep, My Pal, forces him go to the rehearsals as punishment. Although Wallace doesn't change his mind, he does end up changing the play into a rock-and-roll rendition, complete with Rollerblades and a moped!
Customer Review: No More Dead Dogs, by Gordon Korman
In the book, No More Dead Dogs, by Gordon Korman, there are 180 pages. In the first pages, we learn that the main character,Wallace Wallace, refuses to tell any lie, no matter what kind of trouble it lands him in. Later on we also learn that because of a fluke in last year's football championship, he won the game for them. Now, he's a school hero. When his techer, Mr. Fogelman, made his class do a reveiw ofthe novel: Old Shep, My Pal by Zack Paris, he did what he does best: He told the truth. His techer was outraged with his work and gave him detention with the drama club while they got ready for their upcoming play until he wrote "a proper reveiw". By the way, did I mention that the production was the very same book he took shots at and he can't go back to football until he writes the review. After a short while the play starts getting under attack. Some suspect that it's Wallace. He denies it, though. No one knows who is doing it. Is it Wallace? Could it be Wallace's arch enemy, Steve? Or, perhaps it's even one of the drama club's own. To find out, you'll just have to read. I would recommend this book to a freind who enjoys reading. I enjoyed reading it. I think it would be an excellent addition to almost any library. -Trogdor the Burninator!!!
Customer Review: No More Dead dogs
No more Dead Dogs Review by: Patrick Age: 9+ Grades: 4+ Author: Gordon Korman Stars: ***** Genre: Mystery Wallace Wallace, hero of the school's football team at the championship goes to detention for not doing a good book review. While Wallace Wallace is in detention at the drama club someone is vandalizing the play. Wallace Wallace gives lots of revisions for the play, and every one thinks he is the one vandalizing the play! They also think he is trying to take over the play. Lots of people believe the crazy reporter who spreads lots of rumors that are wrong. Eventually everyone on Wallace's football team begins to hate him. His former teammates won't talk to him, and some of them won't even make eye contact with him. The main focus is how, Wallace Wallace's father is a big liar. Wallace doesn't know how to tell a lie. Then Wallace's parents get a divorce because his father lies too much. Wallace Wallace's telling the truth makes him lose friends and, get into trouble. Wallace Wallace was unable to use a lie that wasn't even made by him! It seems like the more Wallace's father lies the more Wallace tells the truth. Wallace always has friends over to help do the work so that his mother doesn't have to do the work. After they finish his mother usually gives them a snack. Wallace's former best friend Cavanaugh feels jealous when Wallace is said to be the best on the football team when Cavanaugh really is. If anyone deserved the credit for being the best on the team it was Cavanaugh. Cavanaugh is a wide receiver with good hands, and you can't stop him from working out. He could not have done anything about that tackle. Cavanaugh fumbles the ball and Wallace just picks it up in the touchdown. (The more you like sports the better the book is).
