first of all, hello and welcome to the forum!
the first few nights he may be stressed in this new environment. i suggest letting him sleep in your room with you so he can hear you breathing and know you're there. will he be sleeping in a crate? if so just place him in the crate and the crate next to the bed. if not, just let him sleep in the bed with you or on the floor. remember though, don't get him in the habit of sleeping on the bed if you don't wish for him to do so in the future. also, show him plenty of love and care!
Too old to teach new tricks??? By NO means! Hell, a 15 year old dog can learn new tricks if taught correctly! 2 years old... of course!
It shouldn't be as stressful for him as a puppy for he isn't being taken away from his mother and his environment, just his environment in this case. Just show him plenty of love, care, and compassion and everything will turn out just fine! Good luck!

My 5 year old saint learns something new everyday. Dogs are like humans. We all learn something new everyday.

Welcome to the forum!
Just give lot of loving attention and give him time to get use to the new surroundings. Play with him--new toys--Talk to him!

it will take few days for him to feel comfortable in the new house, and his age is perfect to teach him the tricks, even mine started learning after he was 2 year old.

it also may not hurt to have some familiar smells from the old house that will make him feel more comfortable w/ familiarity

Hi there sf_dsarangay! I'm quite new here as well, about a week or so when I registered.
I would address your number 2 question because I just made a reply on my thread about teaching old dogs new tricks. You can definitely teach your dog with new tricks. You just need more time for your dog to get used to the trick you're teaching.
You can make him comfortable by doing what the others have told. In addition to that, feed him with his favorite food and that dog will become your best-friend in no time.
