Unanswered: I'm not sure what she is! help!
I just got this adorable little baby and decided to name her Bella. I took her to the vet and they said she was most likely Dachshund/terrier mix. I've googled those type of mixes all morning and I can't find anything that she almost resembles. She's roughly about 6-7 weeks old and weighs 1.2 pounds. I would like to know what she is that way I can maybe figure out how big she's going to get.
thanks for the help

Hello and welcome to the forum!
I dont really see the Dachshund in her, although she really is too young to tell. Have to wait to see how her body shaping turns out when full grown.
Also, what type of terrier were you referring to?

I'm not sure. The vet didn't really give a specific breed of Terrier. She said b/c of her ears she would assume she's mixed with maybe a mini -dachshund. A couple of ppl said maybe Jack Russell and Terrrier. Again, no one was specific with the Terrier. But I've googled those too and again, found nothing that she resembles. The Vet did say she would stay small. I have a shih tzu and he's roughly 10 pounds. Supposedly she won't get any bigger than him.
I would go to the person that bred the dogs but ... unfortunately, I don't know him/her. I got her from a friend.

I can see the possibility of some JRT in her, maybe mixed with those little Mexican dogs...

y she looks like she could be JRT and Chi mix. But again, with puppies everything is guessing unless it is generally a purebred so until it is approx 6 to 7 months of age, you really cannot tell.

Yes! A chihuahua. I kept picturing the little dog from the Taco Bell commercials and just couldn't think of the breed. Thanks Todd!

The shape of his head suggests there is some chihuahua in there.
