Just a few questions.

Have you owned a dog before?
Are you away from home all day?
What is your lifestyle? Active? Not so active? Travel alot?

Well you can look into the breed spacific rescue. Not sure where you are located.

Or you can go to an ethical breeder. You want to make sure that they do the health/genetic testing on the parents BEFORE they are bred. This would include Hips, Elbows, Heart, Baer(hearing as they are prone to being deaf). You also want to make sure they have a solid temperment. Parents should not be aggressive. You also want to see the certificates of the testing results. With me I like to see titles with the parents.

These are beautiful dogs. And I'm not just saying this cause my brother-in-law has two.

Socializing is a huge must. But that's with any breed.

Are we referring to you wanting a Dogo Argentino?

This is definitely NOT a beginners breed.
You need to find a very reputable breeder who tests and only breeds well temperamented dogs.
They will want to know alot about your home life in order to best place a puppy. If the person ask no questions.....do not purchase from them.

Look into what classes are held locally to you so that you can enrol it in obedience ASAP to leanr how to control and train now.

The breed itself can be dog aggressive and a handful to deal with if not properly trained. They are a beautiful dog, but not for everyone as far as owning.

I thought the OP meant a dog in general and just made some sort of typo or from a foreign country. Hopefully the OP can clear this up.
