Unhappy Unanswered: Large lump on dogs back ...plzzz help..

Hi, I need urgent advice on my dogs condition at present. See, I,ve been to the vet many times before for excessive bleeding from Browny(my dogs) nose and rear end and was told that it is JUST extreme tick fever which I doubt. He was placed on antibiotics (purbac). Until recently it started again and then later stopped rather its been an ongoing process. Up until a month ago Browny had developed a lump on his back, I went to the vet and was told that this was merely 'nothing to worry about' but to my disbelieve the lump had burst and become profusely bloody. Again, went to the vet and now was told that my dog has cancer and the best solution is to put him down. I am very scepticle about this diagnoses and really would like a second opinion on this. I have attached photos below please view.

Worried owner
Thanks

That poor baby! I am going to say it like I see it (from what you have said!)--Go to a different vet now! I have this gut feeling that you are posting here for someone to 'push' you into doing just that---See a better vet and get a different opinion! How old is Browny?

I agree 100%! Sound like an awful vet not willing to work with you and your dog. The lump needs to be examined by someone who really cares and it needs to be examined or a biopsy needs to be done on it if it's a tumor to decide if it's a tumor after all and if it's malignant or benign. An official diagnosis is the first step here.

Could be Hemangiosarcoma which is a cancer. This obviously causes cancerous and tumors and can also cause weakness and this type of bledding which is a result of anemia.

Quote from article...

"Hemangiosarcoma is a malignant cancer of the cells that form blood vessels. Because these tumors start in blood vessels, they are frequently filled with blood. Consequently, when a blood-filled tumor ruptures, it can cause problems with internal or external bleeding. Hemangiosarcoma is considered to be a very aggressive tumor and can spread rapidly to other organs."

Here's a great article all about this disorder...

Hemangiosarcoma in Dogs

Tucker here on the forum has a dog suffering from this too. The dog's lived a lot longer than expected because of many natural therapys. Here's the link...

Hemangiosarcoma Diagnosis

Main thing though is to get a new vet and an official diagnosis. Please keep us updated. Good luck and you and your dog are in my prayers.

OMG poor baby.

PLEASE get him to another vet asap. Do you have an emergency vet hospital near you? If so, take him there.

Good luck.
