Default Unanswered: Breathing heavily ????

My dog rylie is a terrier and lately she has been breathing very heavily out of her nose for only a couple seconds and she stops, its almost like shes blowing in and out of her nose really hard and it sounds all wet. I have no idea what this might be.... normal or not?? any ideas?? it just recenly started about a week ago, shes about 6 months old.

I am no expert/vet but this sounds like what is called reversed sneezing But it could be several other things too. If it is not reversed sneezing, you should see a vet. There are several threads done in this forum on this subject. I will go copy and paste the links here in this post so you can get some ideas.

Puggle sinus/throat problem Note that there are 2 pages to this thread.

Note that there is a link to click on in the last post in this thread about reverse sneezing!

10 wk old pup with reverse sneezing??? 2 pages to this thread also.

Sneezing Lab Another link to click on (next to the last post--in blue lettering)

Do you know why?

10 Year old terrier has health problems

Hope you find some answers there! But do see a vet if it becomes worse or causes problems!

Question

Yes, sounds to me like reverse sneezing too. My does this quite often when we're outside. Does your dog seem to do this only outside or in a certain enviroment? If so it's normal. Could be a slight allergy.

Check out these video links and let us know if what your dog is doing resembles reverse sneezing...

My lab also does this from time to time, the vet said its nothing to be concerned about, just to make sure she is breathing okay. Like Todd said it's probably just an allergy (they are really bad this time of year also!)
