It's just something dogs love to do from time to time. My two terriers run round the whole house - through the kitchen into the living room, out the door and down the stairs, along the hallway, back up the stairs into the kitchen. But because there are two of them they are really funny and look like they are playing tag. One will catch the other then take off in the lead and the first one has to play catch up. I love it!!!

As cigwyllt said, this is just something dogs do! Just being silly and burning some energy. When my lab does it it feels like she's shaking the whole house! (she is 85 lbs) she looks like a bull in a china shop. It's pretty funny watching the little doxie and her "play tag" also!

my dog does this as well. It's like she's nuts Just a way to express excitement. My dog does this from time to time but gets plenty of exercise. If your dog does this all the time consider giving it more exercise. How much is it getting now?
