My 3 yo female lab mix pees on any bed I buy her. She loves sleeping on my leather couch, so as a deterrent I bought a dog bed. I have hard wood floors and in the summer I don't have any area rugs down, so I don't blame her for being on the furniture, but I'd rather her not, so I bough the bed. When I'm around during the day I see her sleep on the bed, but by morning it's soaked! I usually move it to the room I'm in b/c she follows me, and at night when it's hot I shut my bedroom door to keep the A/C in. She's used to this routine, and isn't allowed on the bed, so I bring in her bed at night since she can't get to the couch. I just bought (another) bed, so she was without for about a month, no accidents. I replaced the old b/c of the smell. All the beds she's had were brand new. I don't force her to sleep on them, I just lay it down and go to sleep, so I really can't understand where this is coming from. I could just not give her a bed, but that's not really solving the issue. She's been checked and doesn't have a bladder infection, not that if she did she'd only hold it for a new dog bed anyway.
