Unanswered: Possible to register a full blooded husky when he came with no papers?
Was wondering if there was a possible way to get my siberian husky papered. His parents were both full blooded and papered, but one was AKA and AKC..or something along that line. They said they couldn't register the pups cause the parents were registered under diff titles. Any insight on the topic?

Wouldn't the AKC website have the answer to that? I was thinking there was a way to get a dog registered with the AKC that is registered under a different club. Not sure about the offspring, though. If you don't find the answer on the website, then e-mail them. I know some people from the SBCA have some of their saint bernards imported from Europe to strengthen the bloodlines and they get them AKC registered. Maybe you have to get the one parent AKC registered and then the pups can be registered? Anyone else have any thoguhts on this?

full blooded, no papers
Well if i myself owned them that would probably be a breeze. I bought him from someone. They only live like 4 hrs away, but it's their dogs. If i can't get him papered it's no biggie. We're not leaning towards any breeding. I'd like to if we had a female as well, but my husband just wants to get him fixed. Which im good either way. If possible id just want papers for my own satisfaction.

Unfortunately there is no way to get the dog AKC registered unless the the dogs sire and dam (both) were AKC registered and the litter was registered meaning the dogs siblings were registered as a litter at the time of their birth.
The AKC does not recognize all other registries. Instead only works with a few such as the CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) UKC (United Kingdom and the FIC (European) largest of all the registries). If a dog is previously registered with one of these, it can request dual registry as some of my pups are. CKC and AKC registered.

registration
Im not sure if im putting that together right. Since the parents were both papered..just thru different titles..they could have dual registered them? Otherwise meaning they didnt want to take the time or spend any money etc..?

It the parents were registered with one of the reputable registries that AKC recognizes ie: FCI, UKC, CKC then they would had to have registered that one or both with the AKC. Then at time of birth they would have had to register the litter. Failing to do so, the pups cannot be registered thus no, it cannot be papered. Even if one of the parents is AKC registered, both must be at time of litter and litter registration would have needed to be filed.
