I am sorry you are having such a difficulte time after your move.
Its JMO, but if I was in this situation, I would find another vet. When you begin to lose confidence in what they are doing, it's time. Has he done any blood work?
Please keep us updated. We tend to worry about all of our furbabies.
Hugs,

poor pup
No bloodwork, it's very strange because as soon as he gets better from one thing, something else happens to him... I feel so bad for him, his nose looks really bad...

It is so sad when they can't tell us what is wrong. Please seek another opinion.

stitch18jr,
Well with him rubbing his nose alot, it more than likely is allergies but sometimes just a Benidryl will do the trick.
Good Luck and I'll be watching for your post.

I haven't replied to your post till now as to be honest--not sure where to start (and I am no expert). It could be so many things and does sound kind of mysterious. But the first thing---Please find a dif. vet and get some blood work done as well as urinalysis as Cheryl has already said. That is bulls**t about being lonely! The vomiting and diarrhea sounds like stomach/bowel problems-colitis/pancreas or some disease. What had he been eating before the vomiting and diarrhea started. My dog was like that a long time ago--too much fat in his meals (I feed raw and some home-cooked).Other than that--one thing that popped into my head---You have recently moved to California---different plants, weeds, shrubs, trees, etc. Might check on things your dog has access to--may be something in his environment. Another thing --What kind of material are his dog bowls made of? Plastic can affect the nose--Do not want galvanized steel (no zinc-poisonous). Would not use pottery or ceramic bowls/plates, etc. from other countries--may have lead in them--poison as is zinc. I would use stainless steel made in this country, myself.
There are many things that are not meant for dogs to eat as can be poisonous to their system. I did a thread in here a while back on things/foods that are hazardous to dogs--Will go retrieve the link---I am sure that you will see things that may surprise you---Long thread but please read entire thread--more than just food too.
It sounds like your dog's immune system is compromised---It prob. wouldn't hurt to give probiotic supplement pills/capsules for a good 10 days or so--You can get them from your vet. I just recently gave some to my Max after a bout with bowel problems. The vet mentioned them to me (although I knew about probiotics anyway) My dog seems a little healthier since too. It cost me about $13 for 10 pills. This will put the good bacteria back in the dog's system and helps the immune system and (no expert here, remember!) it may help clear up the nose problem.---But you have to get to the root of the problem too. Maybe fish oil capsules--and be sure to use some vitamin e because when you give fish oil/Omega 3 it will deplete vitamin e somewhat so need to give 200 or so iu's of vitamin e--best to not give at same time as they would fight one another for absorption--separate by at least an hr. Give one at morning and one at night with the meal if you want. I would also add a B50 complex vitamin too--Check the net (vet prob. won't know) for amount for your weight of dog, etc.
There are a couple links in this forum that I am going to go now and try to find. I will post the links in this very post so look back in this post again after I add the links!
Here is 1 link: Foods that are hazardous to a dog
Another post I did in this link to someone else who lives in California. There are a bunch of links that I wanted you to see----->
Dog eats something and become erratic See the 3rd post I think--one by me-Corky/Max
