Answered: Help identify what breeds please.
A small pup of about 6 or so weeks old was set out on the side of a rural road.
I stopped and brought it home and my brother wants to adopt it.
He has small grandchildren and is concerned as to what breed we have here.
I see a little pit in it but also something that looks a little like boxer.
Can someone please tell me what they think I have here?

The pup looks like it has some staffie in it I'd say, but he is far too young to completely tell. Also, I wouldn't worry about the breed. with proper love and training any breed can be a wonderful family dog in my opinion.

Being as I just answered a similar post less than 24 hrs ago, I am just going to paste the same answer I gave that person: I know you are impatient but afraid you will need to be patient! Your cute puppy is not old enough to make a very good guess. He is going to change in looks-- maybe even color as well. Save this pic and compare it to him in about 8 months---You will not recognize him! Show us a pic. when he is done growing and changing! Will be glad to give you some guesses then. Keep us posted with pics as he changes.
I realize that you are concerned because of the small grandchildren but if the dog is treated right--Any Breed--Can be a loving dog--Yes even a pitbull. In fact they are a very loving breed. It is what they are taught (to Fight, etc) that ruins there personality! Also very small children should be taught and monitored around any dog as they do not know how to 'handle' any dog yet and any dog could nip/bite, etc. if it is treated wrong. Children have a tendency of fast movements and may treat a dog like it is a toy--Which it is not!!
Here is a link on info and pics of the pit bull: American Pit Bull Terrier, Pit Bulls, Pitbulls
