My 3 year old golden goes crazy when a squirrel chatters at him. He will stand underneath the tree for the rest of the day. He will bark and give the meanest growl ever! He goes crazy! It's annoying because then he doesn't want to play he just wants to catch that stupid squirrel! It would be great if you could help!

My mini dachshund/rat terrier mix is probably 10 times worse than your golden! She knows the word "squirrel" and if anyone says it she runs around the house looking for one out the window. And when she sees one she whines, growls, and whimpers and has actually climbed a tree to get one. She pulled it out of the tree by its tail! She is absolutely squirrel crazy. Sorry I can't help, but at least you know you're not alone

I know if you say 'go get em' my accident he's gone! I live in a rural area so it's even worse. He's tried to clim the tree which are a little on the big side so... I wish I knew how to stop him! :| My other dog if you say treat he runs up to the door and if you let him in he runs to the treat bin! I got crazy dogs. The golden is intelligent enough he just wants to catch that darn squirrel.
