Default Unanswered: Excited puppy peeing

Kuma seems to adore men & tends to pee when first meeting or seeing a man she hasn't seen in awhile. I know you should ignore her when she's excited but I want to socialize her and have strangers pet her. Usually it happens outdoors, or when people come by the house I have her meet them in the yard first. ZWell today I took her with me to pick my son up from school & while we waited in the car a parent came by and asked if he could pet her...she ended up tinkling all over the seat!! LOL

Does anyone remember approx when puppies stop peeing when they are excited? I can't remember.

Mine is three years old and still does it when she meets someone new. I just have to do the same thing that you do, and take her outside when introducing her to someone.

Thanks for responding, Daisy. My other dog, Wrigley did this when he was a pup but it was definitely a puppy behavior for him since he grew out of it. I hope the same happens with Kuma. I just can't remember how long it usually lasts.

If it's a boy, you could always get a belly band and put it on before someone comes over.
