Unanswered: Can someone help?
Hey i have a 10 month old staffy bitch. I lovee her more than anything in the world but last week we were looking after a 1 and a half year old staffy male for my mum. My irresponsibility led me to believe that i had nothing to worry about coz my pup (tia) had not been in heat yet so i left them alone. The other dog (buster) Went home the week after but would not settle so we got asked to keep him. We love the dog so we said yes and the same day he came to stay with us he was trying to mate with tia but she would just snap at him. Yesterday we came home and everythings changed and tia is bleeding. have i been stupid enough to not realise she had been in heat and now she could be pregnant ? i feel terrible. I don't want to lose my dog and am scared she will if she has pups since she is FAR TO YOUNG to be having puppies when she is just one herself Is there anyway they can survive? Please help

Most vets will spay while in heat. It's the safest thing for your dog at this point.

Lol! You just need to rename Buster, Luna! He is just trying to live up to his name Buster!

It just seems funny that everytime someone posts on here with a dog they are having problems with, there is ALWAYS a Buster involved. Maybe me and the above poster can trade Busters?
On a more serious note, if you are truely concerned about your female, go get her fixed. It isn't too late. And get your male fixed too. Then you won't have to worry about either one mating with each other or other dogs in the neighborhood.

Agree with the advice you were given, at this point you need to get her in and get her spayed now. I would also see to getting the male neutered as well.

I agree with everyone else...take them to the vet as soon as you can and get them fixed.

Don't beat yourself up. You just didn't know. However, now that "the damage is done", the best thing you can do is get your little girl to the vet to be spayed.
