How do you teach a dog to bring you it's leash when it needs to go out? The dogs don't come and let me know. I guess they figure I have ESP or something. I put bells on the door and Buster just goes and rips them off. Porter will go to the door, but I can't see the door from the rest of the house. He doesn't bark when he needs to go. How can I get him to bring me his leash?

Wonder if every time you go to let him out to go potty--You start saying 'Bring me your leash' and start by you getting the leash and keep repeating the 'command' and put it in his mouth and get him to bring it to you if you can. Just head for the door with the leash if he won't at 1st. Repetition. Repetition.

Sounds like a good solution to me. Maybe after he gets good at it, I can teach him to let himself out.

Lol, if you got him to let himself out --you'd be looking for him all over town and the rest of the crew right behind him and prob. your little girl too! You might have to change his name to The Pied Piper (lol, did I spell that right?--looks off to me) or to Houdini. I bet the neighbors would have lots of names for you to choose from too! Of course his wanderings around town would get him plenty of attention and maybe launch his 'movie career' with all the attention he would get!

My little herd of ponies has made quite a stir around town. But all of the shop owners look forward to seeing them, and the people in the nursing home love seeing them, and all of the little kids stop what they are doing and come to pet them when I am out walking them.
