Default Unanswered: Is my dog going senile

My dog has been getting confused stares at nothing and barks she is 12 years old,has always been a calm dog now she is runnind around chasing other dogs wagging her tail tryen to play

You can take it to the vet and see if there isn't anything wrong with it's eyes. And I'm glad your doggie is getting more active. For most dogs they get less active as they grow older.

Default Is my dog going senile?

I was not complaining about her energy.She was raised by my Father and has never been an active dog up till a few days ago now she acting like a young pup that has to be raised all over again

Anytime a dogs personality changes especially this drastically based on your description of her prior calls for a vet visit. For a dog at this age to suddenly become so active indicates there may be some health issues. The staring off and barking randomly also are indicators that something may be wrong.

I would also recommend a vet visit. I wouldnt be too concerned about the energy change but perhaps the staring and barking could indicate some health changes. Especially if this is something your dog has never done before.
