So my dog got into my trail mix that has chunks of dark chocolate in it. my guess is he ate about 5 oz or so of the mix. Not sure how much of the chocolate he ate.

I called vet - induced vomitting - he vomitted a good amount once. She said now just keep an eye on him for him bouncing off the walls and his chest pounding.

Im so afraid to go to sleep and have something happen to him. She said she thinks he'll be ok but you all know - they are your babies!

Just need some kind words of encouragement here!

Though chocolate is poisonous to dogs you have to understand the table of chocolates that comprise the levels. Bakers chocolate is the one that is mostly considered poison to a dog. A Hersheys or just about any chocolate candy bat at most will only make a dog if small, usually throw up. At this point I would take the vets advice. Vomiting removed most of the problem.
