My Landlord (NOT OWNER)Doesnt want my American Bulldog at my apt.

I moved to a new place alone on friday
By Saturday my old roommate from the apt before
Tells me she can have the dog, (which is my dog too and i take better care of it)So I offered to take
Care of it, First , because I was the one who took
Better care of the dog and second because I didn’t
Think it would be a problem since I had seem at my
New apt large breed dogs. Just to clarify, our do is
An 3 year old American Bull dog mix,
As soon as I decided to take over the dog I called my landlord
To let her know I want to go ahead to pay for the
Pet deposit, I let her know what breed my dog was
And she asked me to email her some pictures, and she emailed
Me back saying she cant allowed my dog at the apt because
The insurance wont accept this aggressive breed.

Just to let you know, I do underwriting for a home owners
Insurance company and I also do volunteer work for The Humane
Society , and the other dogs I saw living there
Are for sure consider an aggressive breed dogs, too! one of them was
From the bully family, It looked like a Bullmastiff mix, just as big as mine
And the other one I saw was a German Shepherd mix looking do.

So this is when I feel like I am being discriminated, When they are some
Other aggressive breed living there. And also to let you know, my
American bull do is a service dog for the Humane society, we take her to
Nursery homes so she takes an aggression assessment test. And
My dog isn’t aggressive either way.. and I’m sure the other dogs that
Live there aren’t either.

I wouldn’t care if the other dogs weren’t there, I would pack my
Beloningings and move again.
But I just think it isn’t fear, I also offered to get rental insurance,
Not only because the dog , but I do have some new expensive furniture,
And the insurance would cover animal/personal liability in case something
Happens, which I know it wouldn’t my dog had being raise in a very lovable
Environment and she is just a sweet dog.

And last but not least, My landlord made it sound like if I move out , I will
Not get my money back.

Is this right, and what would be my and my dogs rights?
