I can see the Staffie but her legs are rather long for her to be pure Staff aren't they - I wonder if she could be part boxer? Whereabouts in the world are you? I'm guessing UK because you are thinking Staffie rather than Pit?

Hi there,

Yes we are in the UK, a few people have suggested boxer which we thought was a possibility, we have also had some suggest beagle??? Really unsure but we are also thinking boxer as she has the markings that some boxers have too.

Thank you for your response so quickly.

Danielle and Brian

I can't see beagle but it could come out in her personality rather than looks. What is she like in character? Is she very vocal?

She isnt vocal at all but we have only had her for a couple of days and we got her from a rescue center. She had been found dumped on the side of a road 3 weeks before christmas. The police took her in and the rescue center picked her up. I would say she has been ill treated by her previos owners as she is very timid. Overall she is happy and is starting to come out of her shell so we will hopefully see her real character in time.

My dog has staffie in her and people have suggested beagle too, not because of her looks but because of her voice. She "sings"! She doesn't howl like my terriers do but she "talks" and "sings" and answers back when you speak to her! Perhaps when your girl has settled she might be a little more talkative and you might notice the beagle voice then. She has got beagle markings but her colour could come from a boxer as well.

If she was mine I would say she was Staffie with a secret added ingredient!

Default Hey Cigwyllt!

Just realized you have not posted a pic of your dog--unless it was in a much earlier post and I forgot it. Would like to see this little girl---She looks like a cutie from the avator (misspelled?) but too small to really see her. And if you did post a pic way back--You have too many posts for me to find her!! Lol, you need to put in an album--She sounds like a little character to meet. I just realized--maybe that is not her in the avator??

I didn't realise I hadn't uploaded an album! I've done one now. Toffee is the largest of the three, the little black one is Ojo and the floor mop is Manny. Manny is the one in my avatar.

Talking Thanks for the Pics, Cigwyllt!

Love that 'little floor mop'--Manny
And Toffee looks like a very happy playful dog. Ojo is kind of a mystery to me---I just can't think what a Patterdale is/means---Is it a type of Jack Russell or terrier? I prob. will be embarrassed when you clue me in as it should be 'ringing a bell' Nice family and they look like they get along well together. Thanks for putting in the album!

Patterdales are terriers, especially common as working dogs. They are generally much more hyper and busier than Jack Russells. They are generally larger than a Jack Russell but should not be higher than your boot! Ojo's shape is really more Jack than Patt - she should be stockier whereas she is quite fine boned. She has the Patt colouring - including the bib and socks - and the wrinkle on her forehead. She is always, always alert. She's constantly on the lookout for the next game, who will play with her, who will give her a treat. Whenever we have visitors she is the one they want to take home because she is so outgoing and interactive. Toffee says hello and just needs to be with us and Manny is outraged that someone other than his immediate family has invaded his personal space and will have nothing to do with them!
