Default Unanswered: Is Peach Yogurt safe?

I was opening a container of peach yogurt and dropped the lid that was covered with yogurt in the floor and Ginger acted like I had just given her a steak. LOL Would it be okay to give her peach yogurt as a treat ever now and then? I know plain yogurt is okay but not sure about peach.

Outside of the grapes and raisin issue, the only fruits generally no considered good for dogs are those with high or moderate citrus ie: oranges. I have known people who have given slices of peach to their dogs with no problems. Obviously avoiding the pit as it is toxic and can possibly get stuck in their throat but as this is in yogurt, I would not see a problem with it.
Also, I remember reading an article on freezing plain yogurt with blended up fresh fruit and giving it to dogs as a treat. It seems they also mention something about avoiding those fruits high in citrus.

The only thing is that other than plain yogurt--all or most (?) have a high sugar content---But Yogi's idea of adding fresh peach to the plain yogurt is a good way, lol, although more than likely it may of been the high sugar that got her liking it--Dogs love sweet stuff!! My dogs are use to sour--I put a dollop of plain yogurt in their breakfast meal of oatmeal and egg and mix it in. They also are use to sour vinegar which I add a touch under a teaspoonful to their supper meals of raw or cooked meat and a Tablespoon or 2 of minced veggies and a half tsp. of finely crushed egg shells.

It was Yoplait which is 99% fat free but I have not looked at the sugar content I will check it when I get home after work tonight.

My brother in law lives on a fruit farm. His two Labs always pick up the peach drops and eat them leaving behind only the pit. Funny thing to watch too. They have been doing it for years and never have had an issue so my guess peaches are safe.
