Default Unanswered: Grooming tips needed

I have two mini Schnauzers, George (all black) and Weezie (black and silver). I’ve taken each to the groomer once or twice and have since been grooming them myself. I’ve decided to invest in some good equipment as I will be grooming a total of 4 now. I'm leaning towards the Andis AGCL LightSpeed Clipper or the Andis AGC 2-Speed. I am not sure if a one speed is sufficient so may go with the 2-Speed. Any advice on which would better? I’m also looking for a good shampoo, a pair of good shears for blending and those used for clipping inside the ear. Any suggestions?

I groom my own dogs, as well as my sister's Westie. I use Oster clippers, so cant help you with the Andis. My clippers have 2 speeds, but I never use the slow speed. I have 4 different blades, a 10, 7, 4 and a skinny blade for feet. However, I hand strip the Westie, and Oliver, my terrier mix. I love the look that stripped terriers have, and their coats are so much cleaner when stripped. I use thinning shears for blending and for sensitive areas. Invest in stainless steel scissors and thinning shears, they last longer and are easily sharpened, and a small blunted end pair of scissors for close areas like between the pads of feet, close to the eyes and inside ears, though if there is alot of hair in the ears, you'll need to pluck their ears.

Hope that helps!
