Default Unanswered: Strange Behavior?

Hey, guys.

I have a Black Lab Mix named Mellow [which she is anything but], who is one of the sweetest dogs I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. However, lately, she has been acting pretty strangely.

Some facts about her: She's about 3 years old. My brother brought her home from college after his friend abandoned the litter when the puppies were about 3 weeks old (which I think is way too early to be away from their mother). She's up to date on all her shots and sees a vet regularly.

The problem: Usually, she's somewhat needy, which I know is the lab in her, but yesterday she was shaking pretty terribly for no reason. She calmed down a bit, but today, she is particularly clingy and begins to tremor whenever someone speaks, as if people are screaming. When I've been near her, I've resorted to whispering to others in my home so I don't agitate her. She'll club at a person with her paw to get their attention and will begin trying to crawl into our laps while nudging at our arms, faces and chests. She's been doing this all morning and it's driving me crazy because I want to help her, but I have no idea what I can do.

Does anyone know what's going on and what can possibly be done to help her? Any help would be immensely appreciated.

Thank you in advance! <3

Anytime your dog starts exhibiting very strange behavior, you need to rule out medical reasons. This sounds extreme to have happened so suddenly. You should take her into the vet as soon as you can.

I wish her well! Please come back & let us know how things go.

A rolled up newspaper can be an effective training tool when used properly. For instance, use the rolled-up newspaper if your dog chews up something inappropriate or has a housebreaking accident. Bring the dog over to the destroyed object (or mess), then take the rolled-up newspaper and hit yourself over the head as you repeat the phrase,"I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG, I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG!"

I would also recommend seeing a vet immediately. Something so sudden like this could be a medical issue in which you would need to seek help asap. Your vet could also have some ideas of what may be wrong once you do rule out any medical issues. Let us know what's going on
