Welcome to the forum!
A question----Does he carry his tail over his back or keeps it straight? My breeds book : Alaskan Malamute has a plumed tail that is carried over the back. Your dog could also be a mixture of more than one breed too. A full grown Siberian Husky averages 21-23" high--shoulder down and weighs 40-60 lbs. A full grown Alaskan Malamute averages 80-95 lbs and shoulder height is 24-26." So the Malamute is the bigger breed--but if a mixture of breeds--Could be anywhere in between! And your dog is not full grown yet! Here are a couple links to check out pics and info:
Alaskan Malamute Information and Pictures, Alaskan MalamutesBe sure to go all the way to bottom of pages (ads get in the middle) and note that there are 3 more pages of pics to click on.
Siberian Husky Information, Husky, Huskies, Sibe, Sibes, Siberian Huskys, Siberian Huskies4 more pages of pics here too.
Alaskan Husky Information and Pictures, Alaskan Huskies Yogi will tell you this is not a breed but a mixture of many other breeds BUT your dog could be a mixture too so check out the pics--couple pages of pics.
This is a mix of the 2 breeds you mentioned: Alusky, Aluskys, Alaskan Malamute Siberian Husky hybrid
So what is your dog's name?

He's a Husky. Mals don't have blue eyes. IF they do, it's a fluke. Where did you get your pup?

If this dog is not just one breed----Why can it not have the color of the eyes from the Husky and still be part something else including a Malamute!!?? I can't say it any plainer.

I didn't read your post, I did not mean to offend you, sorry CM
in that pic, the dog really looks like a Husky, not a Mal. but if a pure husky and a pure Mal were crossed, it is very unlikely the blue eyes would show, as they're recessive. but if both parents were husky x mal, then it's possible.
but I've also never seen a Mal that dark, either. I dont think they come in that colour, so the dog is likely more husky than mal, if it does indeed have any mal in it at all.

I agree that it looks mainly a Husky! I just don't agree that it may be all Husky! It may be but who knows!? So it could have 'things' from another breed also--no matter if it is not part Malamute. That is all I was trying to say. I am not offended by you--Deafdogsrule!

thanks for the replys,
when he walks about 90% of the time his tail is up and over his back,
when we got him we were told he was a pure husky, but i have never seen a husky with so much black round the face,
we got him from an old man from north east, but he was the 2nd owner,
only 8/9 month old and in his third home, poor lad!

Huskies often come in that colour. Mals do not. I'd be inclined to think your dog is as advertised, a pure Siberian Husky. He's gorgeous, and good jobe taking him in. Hopefully he'll never have to make another move!

i aint letting him go, a little bit of training and he will be a wonderful dog.

True blue eyes are rare in dogs, there are blue eyes caused by the dilution that causes Merle, and Blue eyes caused by the dilution that makes white coats in breeds like the Boxer and Pit Bull, but TRUE blue eyes are found only in Huskies and few other [mostly northern] breeds.
So any dog that is not Merle, and is not predominantly white, that has blue eyes, most likely has Husky in it somewhere.
