Default Answered: my dog is acting very strange

Hi all im new to this site so i do hope i post correctly , my Lhasa apso bitch is acting strange it started about 6 days ago, she is nearly 3 and all of a sudden she has gone from being very playful and wanting to be on my lap and around me all the time to just not wanting to be on my lap and curling up on her own if i leave the room she follows every where but not wanting to come for a fuss she is eating and drinking fine and when i take her for a walk let her off on the field she is fine i just can work it out she had a litter last year it was a one off as we wanted to keep one are selves she only had 2, we kept 1 which is now 7 months old could she have become jealous of the pup all of a sudden , she is also scratching in certain places and started constanly licking my leather settee, all advise welcome thanks

Is she spayed? It sounds like a phantom pregnancy.

Probably be best to get her seen by the vet - she needs to be at the right point in her cycle to be spayed but it would be good to get her out this phantom before she starts guarding stuff and lactating.

I'm sure she will be fine. A vet visit is the best thing and I am sure it will put your mind at rest. Do let us know how she is afterwards.
