Default Answered: Puppies are all die at 1.5 months old. HEELP...

Hello every doggie lovers. My puppies were all die at 1~2 months old and this happens every time their mother gave birth to them. it already happens in 3 occasions. The mother usually gave birth to 3 puppies.

The parents are brother and sister which is an offspring from Jack Russel cross with Japanese spitz, but they look more in japanese spitz side.

My questions:-

1) Is the dying of puppies caused by inbreed genes? sorry I dont know the terms if the parents are brother and sister.

2) Is there any medication to prevent puppies from dying?

Need your help guys, We love our dogs they are very nice. We cant prevent our dogs mating each other since they stay together with us in the house freely, and its very sad that the puppies just die everytime. Help us...

What do you mean you cannot keep them from mating. That is simply a lame response to a continued problem. You have a sister and brother and anyone old enough to be responsible for a dog knows that you do NOT let them breed. Now you want to know why they pups are dying? You have let them continue to breed even though they lost a litter initially then you let them breed three more times, why?
Get them to your vet and get them neutered and spayed now. As for they run freely in the house, sorry that is not an acceptable excuse for letting them breed. Quarantine them from each other during the bitches season. It is not that difficult.

If you can not afford to have one or both of them neutered and for whatever reason you are unable to keep them apart during her season then you must rehome one of them. Continued breeding will wear your bitch out and, as you have seen, the pups are not strong enough to live. You MUST put a stop to this in whatever way you can, even if that means rehoming one of your dogs.

Thanks yogi for your time. I appreciate your reply on my post and I discuss it with my wife.

Its actually our first time to own a dog, of which a gift to us by my sister. These dogs give us joy and more binding moments with my wife. We dont have any experience on keeping, breeding or so about dogs. We've just rely on advice by my sister and she didn't mentioned about 'neutering' nor the veterinarian who look after our puppies that dies. Those events lead us here hoping we can get it right.

Thanks for your advice and so with "cigwyllt". I like a straight answer.

More power to you guys.
