Answered: What is he?
I have a new pup that i cant figure out what he is. I only seen the mom for a few seconds. She was a medium sized mixed breed. At he twelve week visit to the vet he was already at 15lbs and the vet wasnt sure what breed he may be. All he would say is this is gonna be a big dog. If anyone could give me some idea it would be great.

It's far too soon to tell - just as with human babies, dog breeds can look very similar as puppies. If mum was a mixed breed you know nothing about what went into her makeup and she could well have a larger dog in her background that makes the pup so large.
But one thing to be aware of - the vets are nor always right about size and the like. My vet insisted that my Jack Russell was a border collie!

I love it when people say go ask your vet like they are an authority on breeds.
The fact is 99% simply guess as they are not breed specialists because they went to school to be animal doctors not authorities or specialists with regards to knowing dog breeds. They are the last person to ask as they generally will be honest and tell you it is just a guess.

looks a little like my puppy who is a GSD/boxer mix ( i think ). I'm not a breed expert but he just looked so similar!
The only difference is the face on yours is more shepherd-y whereas my guy is more boxer-y.
My guy just reached a year and is 105 lbs....... !He was about 13 -14 lbs at 12 weeks if a remember correctly!
Enjoy him while he is small!

I kinda see that too. Although I also see a 2nd shepherd type in their too. Going by the weight I would guess a smaller shep breed.

A rolled up newspaper can be an effective training tool when used properly. For instance, use the rolled-up newspaper if your dog chews up something inappropriate or has a housebreaking accident. Bring the dog over to the destroyed object (or mess), then take the rolled-up newspaper and hit yourself over the head as you repeat the phrase,"I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG, I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG!"
