Unanswered: wondering what kind of puppy is sadie?
Hi everyone Im new to here...And i wont be able to take my pup to the vet to get further verification until 3 weeks so thought Id get everyones opinion. I got sadie she is a female, from ladies off the internet who claimed she was full bred boston terrier. I didnt know much about the breed but when I got home I just knew she wasnt full bred at all...she is really tiny, her tail is docked, and she has some features of a boston but not all. Shes around 8 weeks right now. If anyone can help itd be appreciated! I love her very much and shes such a good lil girl! by the way she is like a reddish brindle color but almost looks black...white tummy and white markings I attached pictures hoping they will work....

She is so tiny - she looks so young in the those photos. How long have you had her? Whatever breed she is it is far too early to tell. Just as with human babies you can not predict how they will look as adults it is impossible to know how a puppy will grow. From the pics you have posted Sadie could be a Border Collie or a Jack Russell - far too soon to know.

Are you sure he/she is young enough to be away from it's mother? An appropriate age to seperate it from it's mom is 12 weeks. That puppy doesn't look 12 weeks to me.

ive had her just 4 days. They told me she was 7 weeks and I asked if that was too young to be away from the mom because i just thought that was too young. But these people were nasty, did not take care of them selves...so I figured Id take the puppy and try to take care of her. Shes already gained a LOT of weight in only the 4 days I had her...that lady told me she was eating hard dog food already which was a complete lie, I called the vet to ask what to do, and I had bought her some purina dog food the soft kind, not the canned food...and shes been eating it just fine...I throw in a few hard peices and she seems to be eating those fine now as well. The vet appt is in 3 weeks...But overall she is doing really good...and gaining weight...

7 weeks is too young, but it sounds like you are doing just fine. Make sure he gets lots of water. Puppies can get dehydrated really easy.

I guess my main question is why do you have to wait 3 weeks to take the pup to the vet? Has this pup been de-wormed or by now received its first puppy vaccination?
Puppies are de-wormed at 2,4,6,8 and 10 weeks of age which is one of the reason reputable breeders do not let a pup go before then. In addition, on average the first puppy booster is given within 7 to 10 days from completion of nursing and then every 2 weeks after that until all 3 boosters have been given.
Again, on average the pup is approx 10 to 11 weeks of age.
At this stage the pup should not be on canned food but on dry food. Essential at this point in time for their teeth and gum development. Eliminate the Purina dog food and introduce the puppy food. You can mix slightly at the current age with pasteurized goats milk which is the closest thing to dams milk. Warm it and let it soak. This combination will help with the immune system from the milk and the the puppy chow will provide the other essentials that the adult of dog food will not.
In either case, the pup should be to the vet now for a check up. Stool sample test and overall health test.
As for what it is, as pointed out there is no exact way at this point to say it is or is not a purebred. This will come with physical maturity and coat color is of no consequence at this age as it is a puppy coat not adult coat. Often the coloring is nothing compared to what it will be later.

If you look at this thread
Why you need to wait until your dog matures
You will see how my dog has changed from 10 days to the present. He looks nothing like the puppy he was.

Glad to hear, she is was due for her first booster a week after she quit nursing. These boosters are essential for a pups immune system. Good luck.
