Default Unanswered: I am not sure what type of dog she is..

I've had my Sophie for a little over a year. I got her from a friend who was getting divorced. I've had a friend tell me she looks part "texas heeler" but had no clue what she was mixed with.

Can anyone help?

I've never heard of a texas heeler - I'm in the UK - but, it might be because it is "my" breed but I can see Jack Russell in her face.

I guess, from what I've been told, a Texas Heeler is a collie-type dog. someone told me it's a mix between an Australian Shepherd and Australian Cattle Dog. That's the best I've got lol

I thank you for that, though. I never really looked into the jack russell. Those sure do look almost exactly like her.

Like most mixed breeds it is a designer name for just that an Aussie crossed with an Australian Cattle dog. Though it does resemble to some degree, I also see some JRT.
The pic is of a cross between the Aussie and an Australian Cattle dog. Similar but different than yours.

Sorry, the pic did not come through, lets try again...
well it just doesn't seem to want to work so lets try a link to a site that may help.

Texas Heeler, Texas Heelers, Blue Heeler Australian Shepherd Hybrid

jack Russell from tail and face.

collie because of the size. Of course you can get dna testing if you really want to know ...

Though for better guess work see what dogs your dog is attracted to and if it displays any behavior of other known breeds it meets in the park.
