I have a minutare dachshound. His name is Raider. He was acting weird last night and this morning. Yesterday after school i played my piccolo in the house, and he jumped into my lap and whined like he always does when i play an insterment in the house. Last night he was all weird, he wouldnt play or jump around like normal. And was acting all depressed. This morning when i threw his ball for him he chased it but instead of picking it up he just looked at it...

Could he have hurt himself jumping onto your knee or jumping off? If you are sure he is not hurt it is most likely that he is having a major sulk. Perhaps you could desensitise him to the piccolo - hold it in your hand while he is on your lap, play it when he is in another room etc - perhaps it really hurt his ears last night and maybe he has a sort of ringing in his ears - like you would after a loud rock concert.

cigwyllt even if i put him in a differnt room and shut the door he claws at the door wanting out then if gets let out he comes and jumps on me again. It doesnt make sence. If it hurt his ears why would he come running to it?
