His name is Farfel, and my fiance and I got him from a shelter we were volunteering at. He's black and white with a tail that the fur just drapes off of. He's got black spots but they're kind of smudged. His tongue is normal, no black spots and the fur on his paws come to kind of a point.
He's energetic and very vocal, and he still lays like a puppy, with his back legs spread out behind him.
Can anyone tell me what kind of dog he is? I've been dying to know ever since we got him.

He looks like he might have some Blue Tick Hound in him!

To me, he looks like he could be part English Setter, may mixed with a collie?

Thanks! His ears aren't quite floppy enough to be hound, but it could be in him somewhere. He looks like the setter, minus about a half inch of hair.

Now I'm thinking he's English Setter/Spaniel. When we got him they had him down as a Spaniel mix. We've been looking for a while now, but never thought setter. I'm glad to have this information.
