I have a 3 1/2 year old male, neutered lurcher Ben. He is getting more aggressive with other dogs when out on a lead. It is not all dogs but is happening more often.

When he is off lead he plays well with other dogs but is very vocal and barks at them constantly which can get embarrassing, any ideas on how to nip both these problems in the bud?

Hi timjacklee,

It's hard to tell whether your dog's actions are from aggression, fear, etc. without witnessing them. I would find a training facility in your area that uses the balanced pack method. They will have a training program for you and also your dog. They will also give your dog proper socialization with the other dogs.

Don't get frustrated. I went through what sounds like a similar problem with our rescued Pitbull Mix. We found that the true problem was with us. After we learned the correct way to react and train him, he's a completely different dog.

We took him to a place called Perfect Pooch in King of Prussia, Pa.

Hope this helped a bit.
