Default Unanswered: Bad potty problems

i got my poodle/shitzu mix as a rescue about one year ago. he was crate trained but not house broken, as i was told. I managed to get him going outside to do his business after a few nites crated. Well, this dog has gone totally backward. I take him out, he does his duty, and then will do it again shortly after in my house. I have a schedule for him, it has not changed. I dont get this. Its almost a daily issue, and I now have coverings all over my floor. He got me yesterday with two poops and a pee on a white rugs. I now have a boyfriend, and they love one another, could this have something to do with this? Boyfriend does not live with me. Is it time to go back to the crate? I dont want to, he throws his body against it, and I am afraid he will get hurt. HELP> i dont know what to do about this, and I will not be able to stand it if I have to get rid of him for this. I love this little man beyond belief. I have scolded him, he KNOWS its wrong, I dont hit him, i have put his nose near it, and he bit me for that. Please help.

Not enough information!!
1 IF you only had him a short time & took away the crate after a few good times...YOU have to use the crate a LONG time for him to understand what you want him to do!
2 IF hes been out of the crate a long time & been dependable I Would have him check by a vet! Changes of Long time habbits Can be any thing from Worms to other illnesses!!

Dear Katie, My post clearly states i have had this dog one year.

He has been housebroken for most of it.. Yes, it only took a few nites in the crate and he has been doing his business outside for about ten months.

He has been to the vet. He has been checked for worms and other illnesses.

Sorry that wasnt enough information for you .
