My Mood: Confused

Exclamation Unanswered: Please help, I'm desperate!

Okay, so I am in a very strange situation. My family is in the US Army, and we are stationed in South Korea. Our friends have left for the states, but they could not bring their 2 year old boxer Daisy with them, due to airplane conditions. We decided to keep Daisy and bring her back to the states with us in 3 months.
We currently have 2 dogs, a 1 year old Shih Tzu (Arie) and a 6 year old Dachshund (Brownie).
Arie is perfectly fine with Daisy, but Brownie completely hates her.
When Daisy is trying to eat, Brownie comes up to her barking, nips at her neck, then eats the rest of the food.
Brownie is constantly watching Daisy, and when Daisy makes a sudden movement Brownie jumps up and scratches and lightly bites her and barks very loudly.
Brownie whines constantly ever since Daisy has came (about 4 days ago) and seems to be miserable.
There isn't anyone we can give Daisy to that can watch her, and we live in apartment buildings so if this barking continues we will get kicked out. Also, I don't want anyone getting hurt and I want my doggies to be happy!
I could never sell Brownie, that would kill me.
What should I do?!?
ps.Sorry about how long!
pps.Brownie isn't fixed, if that has to do with anything.
THANK YOU!

First of all, I think your loyalty is to Brownie and not to Daisy. She has been with you the longest. There is often a power struggle when there are several bitches in the household. Is Daisy fixed? I would think that would be your first move, not Brownie.

Daisy is not fixed yet. We can't have it done because we don't have access to her shot records and papers :/

And you are right, I am most loyal to Brownie, I just don't want any of the dogs getting hurt.

Is there more than 1 bitch here?
I don't understand about the airplane conditions----How is it going to be any different when you leave for the states? Is there a way you can put this dog Daisy on a plane right now and have the owners pick her up?

QUOTE: Daisy is not fixed yet. We can't have it done because we don't have access to her shot records and papers :/ (UNQUOTE)---Can't you get the shot records and papers---from the owners?

And can't you get Brownie fixed?

Is there any way you can keep them separated to stop the barking so you won't get kicked out of your apartment----Also you have only had Daisy for 4 days----Maybe Brownie will stop having her/his 'nose out of joint' in time. Can you also feed Daisy away from Brownie or at least stand between them?

I am sorry but I have the feeling that Brownie is pretty spoiled. Are you the alpha here?

Yes, all of the dogs are bitches (so that would be 3)
For the airplane conditions, Daisy is what they classify a snub nosed dog, and they can't fly snub nose dogs on planes in the summer because it is harder for them to breathe. We are leaving in November, and it is safer for them to fly in the fall/winter.

For the shots and papers, they require the people that registered the dogs to have any kind of operation present with the records (unless it is an absolute emergency). There are all kinds of rules and restrictions in foreign countries.

We live in an extremely small apartment, so we don't want to keep one dog locked up in either it's cage or a room for a long time.

That's how we have been feeding them, I was just wondering if there was any way the situation could be resolved.

Brownie isn't really spoiled, she is just extremely territorial.

Thanks for replying :]

Can you up the amount of exercise they have? Really wear them out so that when you get home they just want to eat and sleep. It is very kind of you to take on Daisy but it sounds like you are going to have your work cut out to make it work for all of you.
