Question Unanswered: OTC anti inflammatory question

My 6 month out Newfoundland puppy is having issues with Panosteitis "pano" (Growing Pains) and was given Tramadol and Deramaxx for pain and inflammation. Since that visit she has started having problems with a different leg with all the same signs. The problem is the vet said it can last for months and tends to only affect one leg at a time. I am wondering what is a good alternative to the Deramaxx for the inflammation as I do not have the money to go back to the vet again (cost me $600 for xrays and stuff last time and vet said he will redo them for each instance. She needs the antiinflammatory but I can't afford another huge vet bill to redo tests that were already done and was told the condition can last for months.
Thanks
Mel

Tramadol would be my biggest concern as it contains Tylenol..Tylenol can be used short term in very low doses on dogs but it can be extremely toxic on their liver..I'm not a vet but I am a nurse and personally I think your vet is milking you for money..Anti-inflammatories are pain killers so I don't see why he would want your dog taking that as well as something containing Tylenol..As for something over the counter my last Akita had terrible arthritis in one of his hips and I could tell when he was in pain by the way he walked..I simply gave him K-9 Asprin which you can get at most pet stores and he was just fine with that.
