Default Unanswered: Anyone tried Leba III dental spray?

I'd like to know if anyone has tried the Leba III dental spray and what you you think of it. It is supposed to "dissolve" plague in a dog's mouth and this looks like an easy way to keep our dogs' teeth clean without brushing, which is great for dogs who hate having their teeth brushed or people like me who always forget to brush the dog's teeth. It's quite expensive though and I would like to hear anyone's experiences with this. I found it at a local pet supply store and the details are at their site lebalab.com. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

If it was honestly that simple, everyone would would know about it and be doing it. I would be kinds concerned about putting something in my dog's mouth that claims to dissolve plaque. Would it be safe for him?

Since we are asking questions on oral care for dogs. Has anyone used a product that you can put in their drinking water? It helps fight periodontal disease, and reduces plaque and tartar. They also make a gel that you can put on their teeth dailly. Theres one product made by Topiclean called Fresh breath. Its advertised in dog magazines. Is there any good products that are safe and help with keeping your dogs teeth clean?

"Dissolving plaque" was only my own words to describe it. Best to see the manufacturer's website to know how it works. I believe its ingredients kills the bacteria that causes plaque and bad breath, among other things. It takes months to do the job and I did mention it was expensive, which may be the reasons why it's not popular. However, it's a lot cheaper and safer than having your dog put under anesthetic on an operating table to have its teeth clean or have surgery due to bad teeth.

I've heard of the things you add to the water, but no experience with it. My neighbor adds something to her dog's drinking water that makes its pee not burn the grass!

I also have almond oil (containing peppermint and spearmint) that is a tooth oil for humans and dogs that is supposed to help the gums fight plaque and heal gum issues. I have tried it on my previous dog but now on my current dog. I think it's better than using something made of chemicals.

Although I'm wondering about Leba III, I don't have a need for it right now. The best way to keep dogs' teeth clean is to let them chew on a raw bone, especially a hip joint knuckle bone. Maybe I may need to use the spray when my dog gets too old and weak to chew raw bones.
