Are your dogs ear erect? If not, do you clean them? a lot of dogs with dropped ears get ear infections because their ears can't air out naturally.
Anal glands? usually when you get a full groom service they'll express their glands which would take care of the odor until it needs it again. Some dogs scoot their booties on the floor or bite at it when it's bothering them.
The other thing I can think of is allergies. If your dog has allergies it can be affecting their skin and causing it to get smelly. Does your dog scratch? When dogs with allergies get bathed in good shampoo's it can help relieve some of those things which could be a reason you don't smell it for awhile after grooming. But if it is allergy related, you'll want to try to figure out what the culprit is to limit or stop exposure to it.
ANd with all that said, you should look into going to the vet. If it's anal glands they can let you know and show you how to express them correctly. If it's ear infections they can also let you know and give you medication. (if it is ear infections come back and let me know and I can recommend a good ear cleanser that is my go to & never fails). Finally, if it's allergies your vet may be able to help and prescribe med's if there's a secondary infection.
Hope that helps!

A rolled up newspaper can be an effective training tool when used properly. For instance, use the rolled-up newspaper if your dog chews up something inappropriate or has a housebreaking accident. Bring the dog over to the destroyed object (or mess), then take the rolled-up newspaper and hit yourself over the head as you repeat the phrase,"I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG, I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG!"
