Were you referring to the breeder when you asked how?..If so Even if it's suspected he picked it up where you are the breeder still needs to know...Do you know how many puppy shots she had given him before he was sold to you and how old was he when you got him?

Usually a dog contracts parvo at an early age as yours have. Sometimes it can be misdiagnosed. Viral infections can also cause symptoms very similiar to Parvo. With Parvo the stools will be very bloody, runny, and have a horrible smell that will be as no other you've ever witnessed..believe me. Intestional infections can also cause this. My dog (Hitch) contracted Parvo and spent 5 days with the vet and was back to normal in 2 weeks. My pinscher was ill with the same symptoms and I thought she had gotten Parvo but learned she had intestinal infection. I must say, when our furbabies get sick, we ask questions anywhere we can, trying to learn all we can just incase the vet might be wrong and we can pick up on info that might help.... Much luck with your furbaby..
