I have a one year old male Maltese. I have had him for about five months. At night he sleeps in his kennel at the foot of my bed and sometimes during the day he sleeps or plays on my bed with me and my boyfriend. He is well trained, he can sit, speak, roll over, shake etc. He rarely has accidents in the house although he will urinate in the kitchen about once a week or less. Last week he peed on my bed while I was on it and then did the same thing again today. He is set to be neutered next month but has not yet been.

Does anyone know why he is doing this all of a sudden?

Just a few questions? Was he over-excited? And I imagine you take him out to go potty enough that it wouldn't be he was doing it cause he couldn't hold it any longer. How long had it been that you took him out each of these 2 dif. times that he peed on the bed?

And you have to be sure to clean the pee odor really well--Don't use a cleaner that has ammonia in it as this smells like urine to the dog and they have a tendency to pee there again then!

I take him out about once an hour to pee and if he has to go he will wait by the bedroom door or whine/bark to let me know.It had been about 30 min since I last let him outside. Last time that he peed I sed stain remover and "Urine Gone" on the area. The problem is that I have a temperpedic mattress so the urine soaks in very very quickly.
