I have a male Samoyed, 9 years old who just tore his right acl. Last February he had torn his right acl and we did the surgery. I've read where smaller dogs have not had the surgery but my question is has anyone not done the second surgery and have their been any consequences? I understand he may develop arthristis, however we are already dealing with that in his front paws.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.
