I know AKC has sectioned dog shows, but heard there was an International Dog show sercit. And that it went on a point system of breed standard, not just wins. Anyone out there have any information.

I show afghan hounds. If you know about sanctioned shows by AKC then you can contact them and they will sign you up for notices on international shows. I've shown in Canada and Europe. this notices will also tell items needed such as vet records shots,if there is confinement time. some times you can have you vet here confine dog which lets you visit with them before boarding plane to show. try writing The American Kennel Club, 5580 Centerview dr., Raleigh, NC 27606 and asking for details or go on line for web site akc. always have fun showing and meeting nice people. best of luck
