I was wondering if anyone could give me there opinion on showing my poodle. She is 1yr old and has had a pet clip. I am wanting to show her but she will not have the clip that she should have for her age. I am growing her coat out now but is going to take a long time. I have been told that its ok to show her in any clip. Any advive would be appreciated.

:idea: Here's a link to a very good site that should answer ALL your questions. Keep in mind, there are many, many specifics to showing your poodle that go far beyond just the grooming. I have groomed poodles for show and I can tell you it is very costly & tiresome as it takes a long time to learn how to groom as well as grow the poodles hair correctly. Ditto to what the others said. But I wanted to add that if you decided not to show her in conformation classes, Obedience, Rally O and Agility are A BLAST and Standard Poodles do really well in them! It's a lot of fun to show off your poodle's high intelligence in the agility, and obedience trials!
