Default Catching a frisbee

My dog is excellent at catching tennis balls, but she seems to be no good at catching a frisbee.

Does anyone have any tips that I could use to help my dog improve?

I started with the frisbee when they were pups and I dont really know of any good tips. My best guess would to keep practicing with the dog. Your dog will eventually get the hang of it. I have two rottweiliers and I end up buying a new frisbee about once a week.

hyperflite sells a book and a video on how to train your dog. The first step is teach him to eat out of his frisbee (like a dog bowl). Then you teach him to catch "rollers" by rolling the frisbee on it's side across the floor. Then you just teach him to catch pop ups - flickign the frisbee just a few inches away from the dog (never AT the dog). It's an incremental thing. best to watch it live either from an instructor or on DVD so you can "see" how it is done. Not all dogs will instinctively know how to catch a frisbee.
