Exclamation new pet-sport from Germany -TREIBBALL-

hey folks,

greetings from good old germany.

Here is somthing new. Itīs called TREIBBALL and itīs a new possibillity for workless workingdogs to have some fun.

The session starts with eight balls in front of the goal. Sandy, our Border-Collie, pushes all the balls in less than 2 minutes into the goal.

Take a look at the video at youtube:
YouTube- Treibball

Enjoy and have some fun.

Ramona, Norbert, Sandy and Diego

Heinz Rühmann, a famous german actor said:
You can live without dogs, but it makes no sense.

I love it! So your dog is basically "heding" the physioballs? Is it a contest? Is time or speed involved?

Yes it is. The first contests will start in about 6 month in germany and swiss. For me and my dogs itīs only fun. We are not interested to compeed.

If you are interested to see more about treibball, check the videos at Hundeschule CLEVERDOGS in Koblenz neu! Alle Rassen, jedes Alter!.

maybe i can tell you the rules. Itīs not so easy for me because my english is not so good, but i will try it.

Greetings from germany

Norbert

Default Treibball

Hello Norbert,

If you could explain the rules for Treibball, that would be great. I have a friend who can translate them from German if that helps.

Looks like such a fun sport.

Thanks

Chris

This post hasn't been updated for three years so there is little chance of the OP replying but if you google Treibball there is lots of info out there.

It really does look like a fun sport though. My dog is terrified of those big balls unfortunately so chance of us playing but most dogs are braver than my little cowardy custard

My friend's German Shepherd popped two balls we bought at Target.. finding balls that are reasonably priced and sturdy is another problem

Thanks again, take care,

Chris
