Default Dogs Teeth Worn Out By Frisbee

I have a 3 year old kelpie that goes frisbee catching almost every day and has done so for the last 2 years. Just recently I have noticed that her lower canine teeth are quite badly worn down (approx the top 1/4 of each tooth is missing and flat on top). The only thing I can think of is that when she brings the frisbee back the disc may be rubbing up and down on her lower canines (because she does hold it quite loosley in her mouth as she runs back) and if there is any dirt, sand or mud on the disc it is acting like sandpaper.
I was just wondering if anyone else here has experienced similar tooth wear in their dog. I use fastback frisbees which are apparently the "official" dog disc and recommended for that use.

Hi Chrispy, welcome!!!
I think a Vet is the only person that can have a valid opinion. In my mind dog's teeth suffer no damage from a frisbee with sand. It might be something else he chews that is really really hard on its teeth.

Sorry for the info-mercial style reply - but what kind of disc are you using? I sell the hyperflite SofFlite discs - they are made for dogs who have tooth problems and are much gentler on dogs' mouths:
