1. Many dog owners choose to join a club or hire some form of professional dog trainer to help and guide them during dog obedience training. Choosing the right club or professional dog trainer can be quite difficult, and there are unfortunately many unsuitable “dog experts” out there that offer ineffective, improper or even harmful dog obedience training. Keep in mind that the personality of your specific dog must be taken into account during dog obedience training. Good dog trainers will always adapt the dog obedience training to each individual dog. There are however some dog trainers that use exactly the same approach toward all types of dogs, regardless of size, breed and temperament. This means that a dog trainer that worked wonders with your neighbor’s dog might be highly unsuitable for your dog.
