Default Dog massage?

A friend of mine sent this link to me because she found it interesting, and I was wondering if anyone knows much about it. She is wanting to know more about it and I thought who better than everyone here. Let me know what you guys think.

I haven't tried massage on my dog, but I have used it on others. They love it, for the most part. I'm not sure it needs a school of its own, but hey...you never know.

I would think dogs would love a masage. Mine love to be petted and have their ears rubbed.

I'm not sure how mine would be towards a total massage, but they love to have their backs rubbed. I'm sure that they wish I'd do that more often.

i dont really have a professional technique to massage my dog, but what i do is:

-rub around the ears
-rub between the shoulder blades up and down the spine
-pet him along his back
-massage the hips.

Once a week usually after nail clipping and a good grooming session, I rub both my dogs. I start at the head and rub like I would like my muscles rubbed. I end with the tail, not missing anything inbetween. They absolutely love it and take a good nap afterwards. It also makes them look forward to nail clipping as they know that this follows.

Default Dog Massage

I massage my dogs, sometimes just a few rubs behing their ears and across their shoulders. sometimes for longer.

They love it, and it is very therapeutic, just like it is for us.

Massage relaxes muscles and helps the system to clear any toxins out.

I also believe that if your dog has any illness such as cancer, massage is of enormous benefit. Dogs pick up our mood and our vibes, so if we are relaxed too, the dogs get the benefit.

Of course this works both ways, so it is great for our health to cuddle and massage our dogs. It actually lowers our bloood pressure and stress levels.

All the best
Janet
