Default stubborn pups?

I am looking for information from anyone who has had success training a very stubborn dog. We have a scottish terrier and he's going to turn a year old soon. We need to work on house training and barking mostly.
Any and all advice would be appreciated

Hmmm...He's a bit old to be just starting. But the biggest thing is just to be consistant with whatever method you choose for training him. Sorry I can't helo much more than that.

Default can you let us know

specifically how the dog is refusing to perform or being stubborn. It could possibly be a slight dominance issue that may need to be dealt with as well.

If it is a dominence issue then you may want to try the squirt bottle method. I've heard that that usually calms your dog down, and makes them understand that they don't rule the house.

You could google Doggie boot camp and read the llink for NILIF. Nothing in life is free. It basically means the dog has to work for everthing. Dog wants a treat? He has to sit or down first. It is interesting reading.

Gosh its been that long since I have been here? My browser wouldn't let me come back till I did some cleaning or deleting. I meant to write, google Alpha boot camp and click on the link, NILIF. Sorry about writing Doggie, I was letting my thoughts wander, and I don't type that well!
