Angry Why is my dog peeing in house at night???

I have a wonderful 2.5 year labradoodle who has just started peeing during the night. She is crate trained but hates to go in her crate at night time and runs away and hides, so we have let her have run of the house at night. (I like the security too as she barks if she hears anything) a few months ago we were having some remodel work done in the office and she started to pee on the plastic were the work was going on. After the work was complete and plastic removed she still goes into the office during the night and pee's on the carpet ..... not every night though. I try to remember to close the office door before going to bed but you can guarantee the one night I forget she goes in there ..... HELP, why is she doing this???? and what can I do to stop this??? I have cleaned the carpet and used all the odor eliminating products I can think off so that she isn't drawn to the smell.

My JRT is 7 yrs. old, and still goes in her crate at night, although, only at night. We can leave her (not often do we leave her) for a full day, and she is fine, but at night I do not take a chance. All we say is Baby, time for bed! And no matter where she is, off goes that little tail wagging butt, and she is in there until I shut the door. She will not come out until I say "Time to get up!" I really could leave the door open, but still I don't trust her, she likes to go poop in the den. Never pee, just the other. Then she is back in her crate until she hears me say time to get up. We haven't left her loose for at least 3 years now, why bother she is so good, and doesn't cry or bark, or whine, she knows that is night time. And also, her crate is in our bedroom.
Our GSD hasn't been in a crate since he was 6 mos. and has not done anything in the house. He will come to either side of our bed, and whine very softly, kinda like, "sorry to wake you but,,,," no problems with him. It depends on the dog, how they act toward you, Rex just wants us up 24/7 and Baby thinks if we are sleeping she can do what ever!!

I agree with Raggs. Some dogs do not have a problem with rooms and houses being remodled or added on. Some dogs do though. Some dogs won't go into the new area and others pee and poop in it.

I suggest having your Labradoodle on a leash and bring her in the office. But bring her in for a few seconds and then lead her out. Praise her and give her a treat. Extend the time she is in there with you. My 2yr dog still goes in her crate at night. I say "Go to Bed" and she'll go right in! I close the door to because she might wander out.

Also use a baby gate, so that you won't have to keep remembering to close the door at night and you can get to it when you need to. Let your dog out before you go to bed.

Hope this helps! Good Luck!
