Smile Please, advise on crate training

hello, new to this and would sure appreciate some help on crate training. I have two small pomeranians and i have a messy floor. I have gone to petsmart for their class and looked online. Still not sure on the procedure. Have small room with dog door and two crates. Anyone who would be so kind as to guide me to the promised land of clean floors would be an angel. thanks so much antoinette

Default Crate trianing

How Old are your Pomeranians? Are they puppies or adults? I have a 2 yr old dog who loves her crate and sleeps in it during the day and at night still.

I think you will have to start all over with the housetraining process.

1)Keep them on leashes and have them follow you all around the house! Do NOT let them out of your sight!

2)Take them outside every hour-and a half. Also, take them out after they eat, drink, and wake up in the mornings and before you go to bed.

3)When you take them outside, say a cue word like "potty" and when they "go" praise them with treats!

4)If you have to put them in their crates, make sure they have relieved themselves. Then when you take them out, they GO OUTSIDE!

5) When you walk them and they use the bathroom praise them with treats and even say the cue word if you notice them start to sniff and act like they have to "go".

Hope I have helped you. I know a lot about dog training!
